Drypoint etching is a printmaking method of creating an engraved image without using acid, it has its own unique line and feel. In this introductory workshop we will experiment with drawing into a polypropylene plate using an engraving tool and explore ways to enhance a line image by introducing tone and texture. This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability, including experimenters and complete beginners. All materials are included, but bring along your sketchbook with some creative sketches you may wish to print.
