The Bunbury Patchwork & Quilting Group is a vibrant enthusiastic group of women that get together on a Monday at the Stirling Street Arts Centre. The group has been established since 1983 and have retained a strong membership throughout the years.
Members work individually on their pieces in a friendly fun group atmosphere. There is plenty of space for cutting and pinning larger quilts and help is on hand for the novice, although there is no formal tutoring.
Activities include an annual exhibition of members work which includes a bi-annual international challenge exhibited at Stirling Street Arts Centre generally in March. Quilts arrive from around the world to compete in the challenge. A generous donation is given to a charity in need from the proceeds of the event. Find all this year’s entries following in the Image Gallery!
Workshops are conducted throughout the year by tutors sourced locally, interstate or internationally. A weekend retreat is held every year to relax and sew with your friends and have loads of fun with your friends
Members birthdays are celebrated each month with a shared lunch and the annual Christmas lunch is not to be missed.
New members always welcome to join this active group.
