Drawing class for beginners, with Penny Elliot.

Suitable for complete beginners (Foundation 1) and intermediate students (Foundation 2)

Ages 16+. Runs for four weeks on Saturday mornings.

Enhance your drawing abilities by letting go of ineffective preconceptions. Change your internal dialogue and surprise yourself with successful sketches, stamped with your individuality. Both these courses will be taught over a four week period. The tutor will pace them at each personal level.

Foundation 1: Introduces you to various materials & media (ink, pencil, charcoal) and methods (contour & gesture). You will explore mark making, proportion & perspective.

Foundation 2: This builds on previous skills, leading on to discover how to create form using tonal value. Mapping & modelling the illusion of light will culminate in the how to create great compositions, both balanced and harmonious.
