10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Studio 1 | Stirling Street Arts Centre, Bunbury Western Australia
Kambarang bonor sees longer and warmer days and less rain. The djet (flowers) are blooming and plants used for mereny (food), medicine, crafts, tools, kaal (fire) and ceremony are collected.
We start to see beautiful wild flowers bursting to life across the South West. The colours of this season are striking blues, the stunning yellows from Acacias and cream. Nests are filled with new life and the stunning Balga flower stalks start to emerge in readyness to show off their beauty in Kambarang.
Add to this a day weaving and cultural discussion. We will be weaving with raffia, hand dyed in a beautiful array of colours. There will be a variety of artifacts and tools for you to see, touch and learn about their uses.
Morning / afternoon tea, as well as all materials included.
