Tree Street Art Safari 2018 Interactive Front Yard Installation

Applications are open for 2 interactive installation artworks to be held at the Tree Street Art Safari event on Saturday 24th March 2018. 

Two projects will be funded, one successful application from the Tree Street Resident artists and one application from an artist living in the Bunbury Georaphe (Shires of Capel, Dardanup, Harvey)

The 2 successful applications will receive a grant of $1000 each. This is a one off payment and includes all materials, construction and installation costs. There is no fee for artist's concept and application.

The artwork of the non-resident artist will be installed into a front garden of a Tree Street Area home that has nominated as a venue for the event.


  • The artworks must be interactive and accessible to the wider community
  • The artworks must be safe and not use materials that will injure participants such as glass, barbed wire or contain sharp objects.
  • The artwork must be attended throughout the whole event
  • The artist must have personal/professional insurance (Contact Artsource for information)
  • An innovative concept is encouraged

Consider power and water supply, terrain and required space. First aid and any risk assessment is also the artist's responsibility. Other insurances of public liability on private property is the home owner's obligation.

Installation and disassembly of the work is the artist's responsibility as well as leaving the front yard in its previous condition. Any rubbish created by the event will be removed by the artist.

  • A description of the event
  • Materials to be used
  • Drawings or other images to support your concept
  • A brief risk assessment
  • Copy of insurance
  • How this installation is interactive and inclusive
  • Contact and payment details
