Apply to join the SSAC Board of Management

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the SSAC Board of Management

The Stirling Street Arts Centre Board of Management is seeking community members with a passion for arts and culture to submit an expression of interest to join the Board at the October AGM. As a volunteer you will need to be committed to supporting our vibrant and inclusive arts community in the South West, and keen to strengthen, promote, and support the Stirling Street Arts Centre.

Board members are expected to be actively involved in governance, events and any activities run by the Centre. The term of appointment is two years, and regular board meetings are held monthly, date and time to be confirmed. Please note: failure to attend three meetings in a row without notification will result in forfeiting position on the Management Board. Adequate notification must be received if unable to assist with a particular SSAC event.

All board members will be expected to:

  • Have interest/experience in the arts sector
  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Assist with fresh initiatives and directions for SSAC
  • Commit to helping in one of the following areas:
    • Funding submissions
    • Governance
    • Finance
    • Administration
    • Events and community activities
    • Volunteer management
