Apply to join the SSAC Board of Management

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the SSAC Board of Management

The Stirling Street Arts Centre Board of Management is seeking South West community members with a passion for arts and culture to submit an expression of interest to join the Board at the October AGM.

As a volunteer on the board you will need to be committed to supporting our vibrant and inclusive arts community in the South West and keen to strengthen, promote, and support the Stirling Street Arts Centre.

Board members are expected to be actively involved in the Centre through attending regular governance meetings and assisting at events where possible. The term of appointment is two years, and regular board meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm (to be confirmed).

All board members will be expected to:

  • Have interest/experience in the arts sector
  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Assist with fresh initiatives and directions for SSAC

Board Members will also need to commit to helping in at least one of the following areas:

  • Funding submissions
  • Governance
  • Finance
  • Administration
  • Events and community activities
  • Volunteer management

Please note: failure to attend three meetings in a row without notification will result in forfeiting position on the Management Board. Adequate notification must be received if unable to assist with a particular SSAC event.
